Yeah. Without unity we can not accomplish anything. We should have left Europe in 1943, but you would have to write "from a gloating Reich citizen." Some conflicts may be harder to deal with than others but we (as a world people) need to give people the choice for their own destiny. Don't come running to us for help when islamic radicals blow up your neighborhood. Oops I forgot, they already are! Some people just seem to be too blind or ignorant to realize how wide spread terrorism is in the world. Someone has to make a stand against terrorists, and apparently the U.S. is one of the few countries with the backbone to do so. Who are the europeans going to call when they realize that islamic radicals are too many to fight? The U.S. Should we have stayed out of WW11? Europe should be thanking god that we were there to help save them from the Nazi regime. When we pull out of Iraq I'll bet you any amount that casualties will more than likely INCREASE there, Shiites and Sunnis have been killing each other for eons, is that our fault also? Try not to group all Americans into the category the administration is in. Many of us don't support the war and mr. bush's low approval rating is proof of that.
As far as wanting to "run away with their tails between their legs", does it make more sense to stay and continue to lose American and Iraqi lives? I don't think so either.

America is mostly a country of the unbelievably stupid, naive and ignorant.

However, it has become rich and powerful because of a land rich in natural resources (taken with much bloodshed from the natives) and because of a small minority of brilliant scientists and intellectuals who are held in contempt by the majority who take advantage of their achievements.

America has been so provably wrong on so many issues it is absurd and they are too stupid to see it.

1. They now talk about solving the problems of the Middle East after voting in a president who initially said the rest of the world didn't matter to Americans (and wanted to pull out of the Palestinian/Israeli peace process- the Palestinian situation being a prime recruiting sergeant for terrorists)

2. They ignored the rest of the world who warned that they should take stock and plan before invading Iraq (and many of these supported eventual military action.

3. They said they don't believe in Global Warming (the fact that they would ignore their own Academy of Sciences shows how anti-intellectual they are).
