I am a moderate, I lean more to the right. I think the extremists on both sides are fairly equal when it comes to bashing. Nothing I have seen on either side makes me want to be anything other than an Independent.

I'm a registered Independent. I vote based on what I believe in and which candidate best shows that they are willing to follow that issue. Different issues cause me to vote for either party.
As for which is worse, that's easy. The group that is NOT in control at the present time, are the ones that bash the most. When there was a republican president and a republican congress, the democrats bashed the most. When there was a democratic president and a democratic congress, the republicans bashed the most. Now that the president, although he is a republican, he has lost most of his backing, and the congress is democrat controlled, so, the republicans are the current bashers.
Regardless of the issue, even when they are the same. When Clinton was president, the republicans said that his plan for national medical care was a waste. Now Bush is asking for the same plan, and the democrats say that it is a waste. Forget the issue, who ever is doing the bashing just doesn't want the other side to get the credit.

I do find it amusing.
Most of the so-called cons bashing the left are closer to fascism while the so-called libs are closer to socialism.
What's even more amusing is if you do searches on here for bash posts, you'll see that the that the right bashes the left by almost a 2:1 margin.
On the political spectrum (assuming you use the 4-corners approach) I guess I would be libertarian with some liberal leanings or perhaps a "mild" libertarian.
Ironically, I would actually be closer to what conservatives used to be as opposed to what they are now.
But the right on here is definately more prone to bashing than the left, at least according to post counts.
Bashes wouldn't make me want to join either side. It only demonstrates ignorance and an unwillingness to listen.
That's what gets us into situation like we have today.

I vote more Republican then Democrat although there are some key issues from both sides that I agree with. As for the Bashing I admit that I do get defensive when The left attack at random any who believes in God. It is a little funny since 90% of this country believes in a God. We all know that 90% of the country is not Republican. The far right and the far left are equally represented on here where bashing is concerned. The Far right makes me ill when they accuse anyone who believes in pro-choice, is a heartless monster and a baby killer advocate.

Right now, I lean more Democratic than Republican. I think it's stupid when they bash each other, I think that we should be working together to bring strength to this country instead of stabbing each other in the back. It makes me want to stay right where I am. I think that both sides are equal at bashing each other, but right now, I just don't like Republicans. The reason is sitting in the oval office. Oh, I'm moderate.

I tend to lean more towards the Democrats but the extremes on both ends are ridiculous. Usually when they make outragous claims they are being hypocritical. The far Right Conservatives I think is the most effective at bashing the other side because they tend to organize and attack where the far Left Liberals seem to say whatever clever remark comes to mind.
I'm registered Green but I find myself agreeing with Libertarian platforms more than anything.

I am an independent and I constantly get bashed by co-workers from both parties. I am so sick of the "wasted vote" argument.
I think fiscally I tend to be more conservative, foreign policy wise more moderate and practical. And on divisive hot-button social issues like gay marriage, abortion, affirmative action, I lack the fanatical religion based views of the Republicans, but they don't inspire the passionate sense of urgency in me like they do in Democrats. I see those issues as tools of division that distract people from the fact that both parties are pretty much a two headed monster.
I'd have to say that Democrats tend to be the most annoying critics of Independents, because you can never get them to understand that their party does not represent the underdog and all that is good in the universe. They also tend to be more vocal in group conversations. Republicans tend to sit back and be a little more selective about what they are going to weigh in on, and I always get the impression that lots of people who are/vote Republican, never admit it in public.

On some issues I lean more to the right and others the left but mostly I feel they're both wrong and we need to be seriously looking at other ways of doing things other than what these guys have been telling us and have a vested interest in perpetuating.
In other words there's got to be a better way!!

It seems like honest, rational and civil discussion by open minded independents and moderates is going extinct. The emotional, true-believing zealots who will dictate, but won't discuss always has the podium. Is it just part of a cycle, or will it lead to an end and a new beginning?
I'll side with the Democrats for now. There's a lot of corruption to unravel and damage to repair. I'd want a better country and world in my lifetime, to leave to the kids. Not a worse one.

I have more veiws towards the right, but I laugh at alot of these insults, both sides seem like they are very intelligent and could be using it for better but rather bash bush to a bloody pulp or pound that they arn't patriotic BS down their throat. It does make for good entertainment.
