The Length of string is the meashurement between one end to the other end

The units used may differ but all lengths are a measure of the distance one would have to travel in one dimension to go from one end of the object, the string (laid so all points are collinear), to the other.

In 1974 one of the math dons at Trinity College Cambridge died, and they went into his rooms to tidy up.

Have you always noticed though, that one end of the length of string is longer than the other?

It' the length from one end to another . It could be anything like miles cm km ...etc or else twice the length from the centre to the end
