First, you need to identify the CAUSE of the sciatica. Disc herniation? Piriformis Syndrome? Myofascial Pain Syndrome? Lumbar Facet Syndrome? Sacro-iliac joint syndrome? Lateral recess stenosis? Central canal stenosis? Tumor? Infection? etc.

Then, focus your therapy on the cause.

I cured my sciatica with this natural treatment https://stopsciaticanow.im
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication

I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.

I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

My ex husband had sciatica really bad, sometimes he could barely get out of bed, he tried painkillers and Devils Claw (didnt take when he should) and nothing brought much relief. I started getting into aromatherapy and he poo pooed it at first but it did work. You need to buy a bottle of 100% pure essential oil of Lavender and the same of Rosemary, run a warm/hot bath and add 7 drops of Lavender and 8 drops of Rosemary (no more than that) and just lie in the bath for 20 minutes, try and do this every day and you will feel a lot better, after my ex did it the first time he couldnt believe it well it worked and was recommending it to everyone who complained of back problems.

You can relieve pressure on the piriformis muscle, which runs next to or surrounds the sciatic nerve by sitting on a tennis ball. With the ball in the middle of the butt cheek of the affected side, it needs to be between the sacrum and the head of the femur. It's painful but can relieve the pressure of the muscle on the nerve.
