He should retire to the Old Wizards Home in Western Supremea and swap stories with Gandalf about the "good old days" at Hogwarts and pine away for his lost love, Hermione Granger.

Many fans would be sad, because it is probably the last of the series. J.K Rowling said about writng another book: "At the moment I'm only planning to write seven Harry Potter books. I won't say "never," but I have no plans to write an eighth book. "
The francise would continue, because there would be more movies to be released.

The series will end. Rowlings could eventually bring it back, but for now "last book" means "last book." What should happen to it is harder to answer. I think it should end unless Rowlings gets a new idea.

I believe that Harry will die in the last book so he'll be in heaven with his parents once the series end.

Someone will figure out a way to continue it....although in an inferior way. They did it with James Bond after they exhausted the original Ian Fleming stories.

resolution of Hermoine and Ron's romance! discovery of neville longbottom's hidden skills as he turns out to be the most powerful wizard of their class! If voldermott is killed Harry is killed also! Dumbledore is not dead. Snape really wasn't a Death Eater!
