The media, and Hollywood, seem to think all we want to hear is the crap! Because its what THEY want to hear! They make the stories they want the biggest issues. After all, who wants to be honest and present the facts, that just won't get their little egos stroked by other media and journalists. No, its the lies, the hype, the outrageous the media hungers for. Its a massive conglomerate that feeds on itself.
We need some honest fact presenters in the field, and if we as the public start only paying attention to these people, the networks will get the idea of what we want. TURN OFF the TV if it isn't what you want, quit settling for the crap. Write the networks and express what you want!

They aren't blind to the real news. Actually, they're pretty sharp people and are probably aware of where the real stories are.

I'd be willing to bet the journalists in particular are extremely frustrated by the fact that they see real news around them every day more worthy of televised broadcast time and print space, but they're limited by what their bosses tell them will be used -- which, in turn, is determined by what the sponsers feel will not only bring the largest audience, but will keep them out of hot water from special interest groups.

They're not blind. It's a business run just like any other business.

I've seen several stories recently of soldiers in Iraq. Anna Nichole & Imus reportings are pure sensationalism and to say only good people notice the errors is exaggeration. Anyway take care!
