Absolutely...what if they got kidnapped? Then I could find my precious babies.

YES....if it kept them safe. Nothing is worse than the shoulda, woulda, coulda..in th event of a tragedy. I live in a very suburban quiet neighborhood. Recently, I went and pulled-up the sex-offender registry in my are...you would be shocked, how many there were in a 3 mile radius. One address had several registered offenders living at the same address...isnt that great....multiple ofenders living together. Also, one registered offender lived directly across the street from my in-laws. If people are serious about protecting their kids..you keep your head out of te sand...and do what it takes. If that means GPS absolutely!!! Should god-forbid something happen, you can find them quickly....no price is to expensive for peace of mind!

The risk of getting kidnapped is incredibly, incredibly small. Even if they were, then any sensible kidnapper would take their disney channel phone / coat off and dump it somewhere - they do wise up to this sort of thing.
For small children, you should know where they are anyway, be it with you, your partner, at nursery / school, or with grandparents.
For older children and teenagers it shows a massive mistrust, and there is the self-forfilling prophecy - if you believe that they will do wrong then they probably will.
I would never put one in or on my child.

The ONLY way I would even consider this is if I could be guaranteed that there is NO one else who is able to get the tracking without my permission. Like the government. I honestly think this is just another step towards control which our government already has too much of.

They have those things you attach to their jackets that have GPS on them. I'm going to get one for each of my kids before they start school. It would come in handy if they were ever kidnapped- as long as the kidnapper didn't dispose of their jacket, of course.

Little one's just starting school could use one of those in case they get side-tracked or forcibly taken by someone... but , the older kids that is just showing them how much you have no faith in them to do right.........come on...you got to run a muck when you were younger. fess up!
