for the first time ever i forgot to pick a best answer and it went to vote, you still get 3 points if this happens, i think you shouldnt, picking best answer is a good way of saying thank you to those who answered, if you dont take the time, you shouldnt get the points,

I agree. We should pick best answers, it just seems more respectful to ones who have taken the time to answer your questions. I have had maybe 3 questions that went to vote.

And if no best answer is picked, you get 5 points back! Although other people earn 1 point for voting, so they benefit too. At least nice people like you take the time to send a thank you email!

Did you know that some get their accounts deleted but their questions stay? It's true! My answer got voted best for a question asked by someone who has been gone a long time! He didn't get any points.

I agree with you. If it goes to "voting by the users", then you shouldn't get the points.

I agree, it always seems rude when people don't choose best answers (and they're aware that they have to).
