Because Liberals feel that they are Americans second and citizens of the Earth first.
They believe that the French are nobel and that the Islamofascists will leave us alone if we just butt out of the Middle East.
They think that John Kerry was a war hero.
They think Teddy Kennedy is a Stateman.
They think that Minorities aren't capable of making advancements on their own and must be taken care of like little children.
They believe that the American Flag, the banner that lead our troops to victory in Europe and Asia in the 1940, is a sign of American Imperialistic aggression.
In other words, they're idiots.

Because the flag stands for freedom that has been and has to be fought for and defended. Liberals are spineless cowards who only stand for socialism. spending all their time spreading their "message of peace," they forget that peace and freedom come at a price. Freedom is not free, and it doesn't just get handed out by the government.

Conservatives want you to think liberals don't take pride in old glory.
Conservative voters also want you to think they feel pride while watching their leaders shred what's left of the Constitution, and squander the US military and economy. Those voters are hoping that there is some positive end to the misadventures of their leaders so they take an "us against the liberals" approach to divide and conquer Americans.

Is it not AMERICAN, to practice the FREEEDOMS that come with our great Constitution. It seems to me that having a freedom and then bashing someone who practices that freedom is anti-american. If you do not like the freedoms that the USA has to offer, then why do you republicans, claim that is what we are fighting for in IRAQ.

Liberals feel (emphasis on the word FEEL) that they "love" this country by destroying a symbol of it, because it's "Free speech".
I guess loving your freedoms that you don't fight for is loving your country.
