I'd go to the doctor because something like that happened to me. I didn't have my period for 8 months. I don't know what was wrong I wasn't pregnant I kept going to the clinic to be sure. Then in October of last year I got my period in the beginning of the month.. maybe late September. I had my period for 3 months straight. It was a ton of heavy bleeding and a ton of blood clots. I went into the hospital and found out I was anemic because of all the blood loss and that I had to get 2 blood transfusions. I was put on a birth control pill and that also controls my bleeding. Maybe that's what you need also. Are you on the pill now?

You have answered it yourself, yes stress can upset the period cycle. Do not worry about this it is quite common in a lot of women. Some women can miss months between periods. Everyone is different, some have periods for only 3 or 4 day's some go for 7 or more. Some have no pain with heavy loss and others loose very little but can be in agony. Nothing to worry about. Hope this will help. even though I am a man, I know about these things LOL.

Mental illness has nothing to do with your menstrual cycle honey. Don't panic and just wait til Wednesday and get to the doc.

I used to have that problem and it is worse when you are stressed. You could have a few things going on. Hormone imbalance, a fibroid, cysts on your ovaries. Everything can be treated so although it is very unpleasant there is alot they can do for you.Good luck.

It could be anything or it could be nothing.

Best thing is to make sure you see your doctor asap.
