Would it make a difference if the gelatin was in a bunch of little cubes instead of a solid block?

Your body temperature will keep melting the gelatin around you, so´s you would have to melt all the gelatin to try and swim through to the edge to get out. Reckon it should be quite difficult.

ermm... can hardly get out of it but with a very little movement and u need to be careful so i wont jump into that pool

you would drown by a gelatin rush into your mouth is my guess.

I don't know, that would be hard, it seems you'd keep sinking deeper and deeper, i'd do my best to escape.
