You have x^(1/5) = 3.
Raise both sides to the 5th power to get
x = 3^5 = 243.
Check: 243^(1/5) = 3.

=> x=3^5

=> x=243

checking (using calculator)

(243)^(1/5)=3
so the answer x= 243 is correct.

I don't what it means to "check" this, it's just arithmetic.
