When Jake Plummer left Arizona (which had no Offensive line) and played for Denver, everyone saw how well he could play. It also showed where the true deficit of the Cardinal team lay.
David Carr was in the exact same predicament. He had no offensive line regardless of any talent on that offense, so he was very limited in his career as a Houston Texan. Carr should give Jake Delhomme a run for his money at the starting position, but even if Carr doesn't win the spot, he will be better off because he will be on a team that wants to win.
Carr will fare much better with his new team than he did with his old one.

Delhomme was inconsistent and injured last year. I think Carr would do a great job in Carolina. He has more mobility and a better arm than Delhomme. Carr also has reliable targets in Smith and Johnson. It would be wise for Fox to have a 2 QB system so the opposing defense would be off balance of having to deal with 2 different QB's on a possesion. Carr will need to be a leader because he wasn't a leader in Houston.

If he gets a chance to start behind that line and with those weapons, what QB wouldn't do well? Delhomme is certainly our teams weakest link as of late. Unless he can get back to how he was back in 2003, I think it's time for a change. Delhomme just doesn't seem to be the guy we need behind center. But maybe having Carr is exactly what he needs, knowing his job is not secure as it has been the past four seasons, perhaps he'll step up his game. But first and foremost, Carolina needs to get their running game working and that is exactly why they brought in a new offensive coordinator and changing their blocking scheme to something Denver uses (which has produced 1000 yard rushers no matter who was in the system) Time will tell, but I'm psyched. Can't wait to see what happens....LET FOOTBALL START!!!! This is killing me.

I think that he has a much better chance to succeed with the Carolina Panthers simply because they have an offensive line that will protect him way better then the Houston Texans ever could. Plus the fact that the Panthers have a lot of talent especially a running game as well as a defense to help him out as well.

I have faith in David Carr, if he gets a chance to get a couple of starts in behind a decent offensive line he could show his 1st-overall-draft-pick-talent.
That being said, I guess the person holding David Carr's future is Jake Delhome, if Jake stays healthy and plays well for just a year or two more, Carr's chance could come and go.

hes not going to start
unless jake delhomme is injured or he gets benched, then carr will start
besides that, then carr will not do anything in carolina, except probably hold the ball on field goals and take knees at the end of the game

i think of Carr have been given sacked like 50 cases final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. NO quarterback would be triumphant under that form of duress. Carr desires the prospect to accomplish with an experienced line. submit to in suggestions steve youthful? He started with the Buccaneers and develop into terrible. i think of human beings down Delhomme unnecessarily, he had no working pastime final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and human beings have been at last going to make your suggestions up the Steve Smith handoff. His Qb score hovers around eighty two% and he throws effectively on first and 2nd down. in the event that they be waiting to maintain out of third and 15 he will do in simple terms fantastic.

Delhomme is the starter, sure...but if he has another bad/mediocre year, don't think they wouldn't give David Carr a chance...like, if they start off the season 1-7 with Delhomme...Hmmm...

I do think that Jake Delhomey will lose his starting job. He has been very inconsistant these past few seasons. David Carr will become starter and shock everyone.
