Ethics and morals...most definitely. I could care less about gender and ethnicity...that's not what makes a good president or any other type of political official.

I'm going to vote for the candidate that I feel will best lead the nation based on the many serious issues facing our country. It is my hope that this person is ethical and moral. I will not base my vote on how they feel about abortion or gays. Those issues can't be dealt with by the president anyway.
Experience in government is very important in this election. Gender and ethnicity are irrelevant if this person has the ability and talent to perform the many responsibilities of the position and in how they will represent us in this country and in the world.

I'm going to cast my vote based on who I feel is the best person to handle the issues we're facing as a nation. I don't think it's wise to vote based on whether or not someone's moral standard matches your own. A person could be very ethical, but totally inept in an administrative capacity. You have to remember the President of the United States isn't your personal moral representative. We're hiring that person to represent our nation as a whole and be our CEO.

Being that i am not racist nor sexist, these will not influence my decision. Also, some morals won't really influence me much either. I'm going with the ethics. It's more important than what kind of Church you are from. Because in a nut shell, many people vote the "Christian way". Even though i am a Christian, I look at how they conduct business for the nation. If i wanted a religious leader, I'd elect him for Pope

For me, ethics and morals are what I will cast my vote for. I will not cast a vote for someone who will not help me and my family. I am white and I do not see where my vote for Obama Barak would help me or my family. As for Hillary, I will just see what her views are for the American people. The American people, especially the middle class need help with the taxes they must pay. America needs to consider a flat rate tax for everybody with NO deductions allowed. Also, state taxes must be forbidden and the federal government must provide ALL the services the states are now providing. Also, the American citizens must have a national health care plan available for each and every American for free. Insurance companies must be forbidden to sell health insurance to anybody. ALL problems concerning health issues must be covered if a doctor says one needs the treatment or surgery. We need to get off out butts and vote accordingly or America as I grew up in, will be no more. That means no more wars and get out of Iraq and Afghanistan as soon as possible!

Ethics and morals. Which means that Obama, McCain are my front runners right now.
Rudy and Hilary have a bit too much in the closet for my taste.

I am going to vote "my conscience". In my case, I will try very hard to look at voting records - affiliations - past performances( where they exist)- In other words, I take voting just as seriously as I take the rest of my life and I will try to do my best. But it remains obvious to me that many people get fooled by the hoopla surrounding some of these candidates.-k-

None of the above. I will vote for a candidate that will offer new directions in politics, e.g., not take money from corporations, political action committees, or lobbyists, and preferably not be from either the Democrat or Republican parties.

I am going to vote for a change of direction.
I feel that with the current candidate pool it is a lesser of 2 evils but anything is better than what we have now and 65% of the country agrees.
