This is the same as the 40th root of x or x^1/40.

Write it down:

n-th root of x = x^(1/n)
(a^b)^c = a^(b*c)

So it is

((x^(1/5))^(1/4))^(1/2) = x^(1/(5*4*2)) = x^(1/40)

The 40th root of x.
