Some hag at the store yesterday had her child in her cart. I guess him to be about two years old. He was crying about something and instead of trying to figure out what was wrong she kept yelling "SHUT UP" which made him cry more. It made me really sad. I wanted to go pick him up and love on him, but I didn't want to get arrested or something.

How would you test them and on what?

Also are you a parent or not? I saw that those who have no kids tend to parent well before having their own.

There might be some with abusive behaviors towards children, but for the most part, every parent love their kids and would like them to do better.

Here in Australia, you don't even need a licence to own a pet.

No wonder down under is becoming a blunder!

Parenting classes should be mandatory. Get rid of religion from schools and start teaching life skills!

love animals, but think they need to be given a cat or dog for 6 months, if they tie it to a chain outside, make it eat, pee all at the same place, or the kitty, its cat box not cleaned daily, fresh water and food daily, thats a clue, they need to grow up a little more or take classes, if they can't care for a innocent animal, how can they give 20 so years to the off spring

Yes, I see that kind of stuff all the time and I'm usually compelled to say something. At least to let the kids know it's not their fault. There should be classes that are required before parenthood, but alas, there are not.

people like that should not have children, then again all you got to do is have s** and tomorrow you could be pregnant. Which in my opinion some shouldn't be able to that might be mean to say but so many are homeless, unloved, treated wrong, or care for by some one else other than their parent!

whats really sad is that you would get into trouble for comforting the child and the hag doesnt get into trouble for child neglect.

I would gladly help you write the license!! Thats a great idea!!!

I get so mad at those mothers. You just want to scream at them and take away their kids. But I think on occasion I've been that mother too. Kids and shopping don't go hand in hand.

But yes people need to take a class or something.

Yeah, some parents really need to study more on this. However, I'm not a perfect parent, there is no such thing. But saying 'Shut up.' just isn't the cool thing to do. I agree w/you.

i think so. its a natural human right to be able to bear children though...and thats what this country is about. there would have to be some loop holes i think in creating this! but regardless, i think people should have alicense to have children...we need one for everything else we do! and hainvg children is the simgle most important respobsibility one can face...and its left up to people who have no intentions of doing whats best for the child.
