I highly respect TNA and there was a time where they were a better option than the WWE. As of late, TNA has been doing dumb things. Paparazzi Idol is funny, but it's going on too long. and making the X-Division look bad. That crap about Abyss' shooting his father is stupid. The "Last Rites" match was horrible and stupid. Don't get me started on VKM and that Bobby Roode/Eric Young crap!

I really blame Vince Russo for these bad storylines. He killed WCW with stupid storylines. Don't get me wrong, the workrate of the TNA wrestlers are 3 times better than the WWE's. But the stupid storylines and booking is hurting it. What do you think?

Hey "TNA Rules". I know you can come with a better answer than that! I have ill feelings towards WWE as well. I like TNA as well. But you know I'm right about the state of TNA right now.

Hey Shrek M, TNA does not flat out suck. They have a better in-ring workrate than the WWE. Admit that. By the way, you dissed TNA's tag division, but the WWE doesn't have one. Chew on that for a while.

Okay, you asked me to answer your question, and here I am. Here is an interview with Dixie Carter : http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2003560001-2007170207,00.html
She talks about many things, including the "Fire Russo!" chants. And here is my personal opinion of Russo: He made mistakes, no question. He admitted these mistakes, and he has changed. Many people say it was his fault that WCW had to be sold, but let's face it: You can't only blame him. The WCW was a part of "AOL Time Warner" at this time, and there were many bosses. The problem is that NONE - I repeat NONE - of them did know anything about wrestling, or was interested in wrestling. That killed WCW. The "Last Rites Match" was not that bad, I mean, it's something different, and Abyss and Sting did their best. The whole Sting-Abyss storyline was booked by Russo AND Dutch Mantell and Sting himself, and to tell you the truth: I liked that storyline most of the time.
What I did not like was the "Elevation X", because I think it was too dangerous.
I do not know why, but Robert Roode doesn't thrill me either. It's funny sometimes, but I admit it bores me mainly.
And now, we must face the main problem in wrestling: A pure wrestling promotion, without any storylines, just does not pay off! I mean, look at ROH: I like it, and I bought some of their DVDs, but they do not get a TV deal, they are an independent promotion, and they lose all their top guys to TNA or WWE. There are not enough hardcore wrestling fans to make ROH as successful as WWE. TNA has to use storylines, but they still show better wrestling. The last 5 or 6 iMPACTs were much better, they showed more wrestling, and if iMPACT has two hours, the balance between wrestling and storylines will improve rapidly.
I do not say that TNA does not make mistakes, but I love it. If these young X-Division guys get more profile (Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt!), than there is a chance that even WWE fans will realize that a wrestling champion does not need to be roided up. And than, TNA has a chance to prevail, because in McMahon's opinion, a wrestler must look like a monster (and so many wrestlers had to pay with their lives for this attitude!).
I hope that TNA will change wrestling, and so I want them to be successful, but this can only be done with some storylines and more profile for the wrestlers. I can watch pure wrestling 10 hours a day without getting bored, but I am one of a few who can do so. TNA is experimenting right now, they want to find out what their fans want, and give it to them. I hope they will find their way and be successful.

i'm a TNA fan yet i'm getting further and extra puzzled each and each week with the course the tutor is going. to no longer point out we've Hogan, Bischoff, and as much as I hate to confess...aptitude...in simple terms throwing their weight around everywhere. to no longer point out Sting being the main no longer worth worldwide champion in a protracted time.

yeah, i agree...

TNA was more fun to watch at one point, but they are desperate right now inb trying to draw viewers with matches like the high X thing above the ring match and this "electrified cag match"? please, TNA is getting worse and farther away from the WWE

TNA is 1/2 made up of WWE castoffs which makes it substandard. All I ever do is shut it off.
