i tried the line 6 uber metal, and it was too trebly and not bassy enough at all, and to top that, it was not good for soloing. what i want is a system of a down sound-distortion, not a slipknot distortion sound. can u help me out? what pedal do you use?

For around $80, you can pick up the Boss Overdrive/Distortion pedal (it's the dark yellow one). You should be able to get the tone you want out of that one.

amplifier reason or you will no longer have the skill to play something. an electric powered guitar desires an amplifier. distortion pedal is basically for outcomes even though it incredibly is an intermediate to the amplifier. amplifier is the 2d maximum mandatory component in the back of electric powered guitar.

i use the cheap ToneWorks AX3G and it has decent sounds for distortion. It only costs 50. you could get so many different sounds outta it. If you run it threw a fender frontman amp it sounds pretty damn good.
