Keep in mind before annointing him the next great receiver that he will be drafted by a team that has a lot of issues. What if the raiders pick him? who will throw the ball to him? Or the Lions? We have seen firsthand how easily they can ruin a receiver. Another thing to keep in mind...very rare is the rookie receiver that catchs 1,000 yards worth of passes his rookie year. Obviously the kid has amazing skills but that doesnt gaurantee success in the NFL. What if he cant get a deal done and get into camp on time? Happens far too often and the guys that dont report on time amost never make an impact the first year. If talent alone guaranteed success then we would be sending Jeff George to the Hall of Fame....if you had actually seen him throw a football then you would have a hard time believing anyone could be better. Of the guys I've personally seen only Elway had a comparable arm. He has the tools to be great but too many things he cant control to annoint him the next Jerry Rice yet.

As soon as this kid meets up with a decent - good quarterback he will become a star. And after that it will only take a year or two to become one of the best if not the best...he is a FREAK athlete.Problem is, the chances of him going to a good quarterback are slim to none. Andrew Walters won't get him the ball in Oakland, and Charlie Frye is clearly not the man in Cleveland and the same goes for Jon Kitna. IF he falls past the top three the Bucs will grab him for sure, and Chris Simms and Jeff Garcia could do a decent job throwing to him, but decent and "best-in-the-NFL" are two very different things. His only hopes to becoming the "best" anytime soon is if either the Lions or Browns who have both been entertaining trade talks, deal their pick away to an already good team. Besides, best is a hard thing to say with Wide Receivers. At other posititons it's pretty easy last year it was RB = LT QB = Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, but WR? You could make arguments for Steve Smith, TO, Chad Johnson, Marvin Harrison, Andre Johnson, Torry Holt. It's a star-oriented position.

The real question is IF, if he puts the time in the off-season to strengthen and stay in football shape. IF he puts the time in with whomever is going to throw him the ball. IF the team that signs him has the running game and o-line to get him the ball. IF the team that signs him has enough other good receivers so he is not the focal point of d-backs. In short, probably never.

he has to wait, until Chad Johnson and Steve Smith and other recivers leave, if hes with the Bucs, he will get alot of touches, espeically because Bucs can spread the field very well with Galloway

this really depends on what team drafts him and their system.
i mean, if he gets drafted by a team like raiders, he's going to have an immediate impact with their vertical passing game.
but if he gets draft by say, the browns, its going to take a while because they have to find a quarterback and then install a new offense.

As long as it takes him to learn routes & the plays in the playbook and he has to have a great QB who has the arm, so it's not up to HIM...ask Randy Moss...
