If she has been bugging you, then why haven't you been paying attention?
It all depends on what she is interested in.
I would suggest that you let HER make suggestions, and then YOU go on the internet to do searches on them. If you think they are too advanced for her, then tell her so. If they look interesting and you approve, then you can order them from their websites.

Hey,
I suggest you scour the market for any "suitable" magazines but it all depends on her maturity level and her peers. Since she's been bugging you about it, ask her for the title and see what's the magazine about before going carefree cause it may not be appropriate.
You could try those magazines the other users have suggested for the pre-teen set such as J-14, Tiger Beat and Bop magazine which just have loads of pictures of celebrities if she's into that. They're kinda like people only for the younger demographic.
If she's more "mature," Seventeen and Cleo focuses more about womanhood such as how to do makeup, relationship issues etc, etc. However, this could lead to her asking you to buy stuff she sees in the magazines so i suggest stay away? :P
I highly recommend Teen People because it has a balance of content and celeb photos or if she's fashion-conscious, try Teen Vogue, which interprets runway looks for teen girls.
I hope this helps. ^.^

I think Sweet 16 is a good magazine, I got my daughter a subscription when she was 12 and she loves it. Most of her friends read Teen Cosmo and that is out of the question for my daughter. Sweet 16 is put out by the same people that put out Guideposts magazine. I read every one she gets, I have liked all of them so far myself. They only come 6 times a year though.

National Geographic Magazine is a great magazine because it covers animals, plants, and planet Earth. It's got amazing pictures and really interesting articles. It only costs $19 to suscribe (in America). Visit http://www.nationalgeographic.com/ for information. There is also a Kids magazine you can get which has games, puzzles, kid-friendly articles, and lots of other fun stuff. This magazine, though, costs $19.95 to suscribe. I get National Geographic Magazine each month and it's a wonderful magazine, especially for someone who loves nature.

Tiger Beat.
J-14.
Bop.
Those are the only ones I know off the top of my head. You can spot them anywhere. They have all those little teen stars on them. All their faces. Everything's pretty decent.
Your daughter isn't ready for Seventeen or CosmoGirl.
