Could someone explain to me step by step? Assuming im using a 'digital multimeter with manual range selection'.

take the multimeter positive lead and put it on where the red wire is on the P1 connector the large rectangle connector on motherboard put the black lead on the chassis. make sure computer is on.

Tune your multimeter to the voltage range you was checking for.

The voltage options for each cable is shown on your power supply.

Insert the multimeter pins to the right positions.

You would be better off using a power supply tester.
