Lol, its DEFINITELY NOT God, leave him alone! It just got me thinking coz Im dreading to go work tomorrow and I thought 3 days for weekends is just so perfect!:D

Wow, that's an amazing question! Why aren't weekends 3 days and why do we have to work/go to school 5 days a week!..or work 8 hrs a day!..I can't wait to see the other answers!

Technically, the week begins on Sunday, so the 'weekend' is actually Saturday. I think we should petition to add Friday to that mix.

The names come from Norse gods, e.g. Thor = Thor's day = Thursday.
