I am looking for ways to make more money. I have farmed the bloodelf mask, tried the bottom scanner on AH, even tried to strictly have my professions as money maker ones, skinning and herbalism, but I still on have 40 some gold. I hear people say they have thousands of gold, how and please don't be stingy. I am on Zul'Jin, so if you are not on that one, I really won't affect you by knowing your secrets. I have a 44 Pally Dwarf if that helps out any.

Most of those with the "Thousands of Gold" are either profesional farmers or have reached level 70.

Once you hit the maximum level, the XP you used to get for completing quests gets converted to gold (a consolation since XP no longer helps you level). This makes questing EXTREMELY profitable for 70's

The biggest money making items are the raw materials for professions (herbs, ore, cloth, gems etc), Since your professions are gathering and not production, you are already off to a good start.

At your level, you are not going to have thousands (if you hit 100, you are going to be considered rich). So just keep going the way that you are going and the money should roll in.

You can make more money with mining than with herbalism right now, because everyone wants the gems and metal for jewelcrafting. Also be sure to put up plain ore, it seems to sell for more than the bars on my server because of prospecting. Fishing is also a good money maker and won't require you to drop any of your current professions. People will buy the oily blackmouth, firefin, and deviate fish, and tons of others to level up their professions; mostly alchemy and cooking.

If you're guilded, have a level 60+ run you through some instances. The most gold drops there and you can sell all the loot on the AH. And only having two people means you get almost everything.

Another way to make a little extra is to buy your side's non-combat pets (average 45s each) and sell them on the goblin AH for a few gold each. You're alliance, so be on the lookout for the boy with the white kitten in Stormwind (his name is Timmy)...I've sold a ton of those on the goblin AH for 5-15 gold a piece. Good luck!

I am a level 40 Warrior Night Elf and i know that on my sever that in the AH silk cloth and other certain mats like that sell for about 60-80 silver for a stack of twenty. I am a miner and blacksmith and the armors and the mat ores themselves sell for a good bit as well. Another good way to get cash is to run an instance that is meant for a character around your level with a friend who is above lvl 60 and change the looting to "free for all" so you can collect all of the loot. sell or AH what you dont need and you should also get a good bit of cash. These are some of the things i used to get the cash for my mount. I hope it helps.

Gather raw materials through the professions, though mining is better than herbalism, and sell AND buy things from the auction house.

People with thousands of gold are either: farmers, people at the level cap, buy gold from farmers, or really work the auction house.
