And when is anyone in the media going to publicly call them out as the racist hypocrites they are?

rampdogg2000: How are they helping bring people together by leveling groundless charges at whites and using anti-Semitic slurs? What positive, tangible changes have they ever brought to race relations? Why do they prey upon the mistrust at the heart of the racial divide instead of try to mend it? If you look at their careers, you'll see that the only ones they have helped are themselves.

they will do their best to make it seem as if they are helping when in fact once they open their mouths they make it worse. These two hypocrites opened their traps and used the following words and phrases. " cracker, honky, hymie, new york is "hymie town" etc. I actually heard someone make the pathetic excuse that "oh they have made great contributions to the civil rights community and the hymie town and hymie comments show that they are human" HUH!?! WTF!?! So if that makes them human, why wasn't the same yard stick used for Imus. I guess he is not human.
I mean look at what Sharpton did in 1987 with the race baiting rape hoax of Twanna Brawley and then along came the same race baiting hoax of the Duke Lacrosse scandal. I have never once heard him or jackson speak out against the "New" Black Panther Party after they went into court and threatened one of the boy's life, saying " you are a dead man walking" or when they said even if they were innocent, they should go to jail for all the white men who got away with raping black women.
You see they won't disavow that kind of talk or apologize for the elevated racial tensions they caused in Durham because they are a bunch of opportunistic hypocrites and need that kind of swill around to keep themselves relevant in the black community.

They like a lot of media hounds are in it for the money and power. When something like the Imus mess happens, it turns into a golden opertunity for them to excite their base. What Imus did was wrong, but did he deserve to lose a career over it. I think not. This country is founded on freedoms, speech being one of them.
The media won't do anything against Jackson or Sharpton because they created them. They expect them to act the way they do. They can't wait for the two of them to get involved with a situation, because if it wasn't a story it will be when they're done. Do people get hurt, sure. Does Jackson or Sharpton care, no. Does they media care, no.
They along with the media have not only hurt Imus but also people who work to put his shows on. They are the true victims in this deal. They are probably just hard working people who never asked for any of this. They didn't put the words in his mouth. I am not an Imus fan so I don't now what his history is, but what has this solved at the end of the day. I will tell you.It has created more racism. Thats what they want, it's their business. Well carry on, winner winner chicken dinner. Good could have come from this fiasco but all it's done is left a bad taste in peoples mouth.
People are way to sensitive in some ways and at the same time too blood thirsty in others. What happend to old fashioned common sense. We know what he said was wrong so does he. Apology accepted see how easy that is.

When I saw Jackson and Sharpton on The Today Show on NBC it seem surreal because they are so much a throwback
from back in the day when the tactics that they used back then they still used today. To my surprise it still appears effective. And I'm not so sure that NBC and CBS did the right thing by firring Imus. Not because of freedom of speech or anything of that nature but because Imus could have done more positive on air in regards to race issues and other matters. And if Jackson and Sharpton were really into making things right to all people on both sides of the fence that were involved in this unfortunate misstep they could have
created a more appropriate scenario where everyone could had benefit from it. (more minorities not just on Don Imus show but on the MSNBC cable station itself reflecting other minorities such as Asians Americans, Middle Eastern Americans, Latino Americans, African Americans etc...in their views and concerns. That would make a very interesting station to watch and learn since we don't have access to that type of outlet } Don Imus could have been suspended not just for two weeks but six months would have been appropriate and charge additional monetary going to Rutgers institution or something of that nature. What Jackson and Sharpton did was old school tactics, throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Nobody benefits from this other then the high profile that Jackson and Sharpton seem to enjoy.

I would lean more towards helping... they are both activist for various causes. I may or may not support them all of their efforts at times. Also I support anyone regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation that is proactive on issues of social change for the common good. And besides if they (Jackson and Sharpton) were not at the forefront of certain issues who else would do it?

As far as the media "publicly call them out as the racist hypocrites" as you put it, 1) they would have to be identified and verified for such an offense. (people do get sued for "defamation of character" 2) While both are very involved in social issues, Al Sharpton is more connected to domestic issues nation wide were as Jesse Jackson has been more active in international issues from time to time. 3) Time will tell what outcome the labors of their efforts towards social improvement will be.

Ok, so now that the Duke Lacrosse players have been cleared and it is clear That the “Exotic Dancer” lied, will the good Reverend Jessie Jackson and Reverend Al Sharpton go into the streets of Durham tomorrow and protest? Will they DEMAND justice for these boys and hold the city hostage with threats of violence until that woman is brought up on serious charges? Will the Rev. Jessie “Hymie Town” Jackson and the Rev. Al “I got Jewed out of my numbers” Sharpton reveal that they are really just poverty pimps sucking the money out of their own people? Will they admit that they are just using the “race card” to line their own pockets and to keep the black community down for their own benefit?

And for you to young to remember those racial quotes and many, many more by these two “Reverends”, just know that they need to keep racial tension alive to keep their bank accounts full!

those are 2 of the main racist men I even have ever heard of, alongside with mr invoice Cosby. He walked into an airplane mechanic in Georgia, asked for below black mechanics to artwork on his spouse's airplane. He develop into informed that they do no longer do employer that way and if he insisted on that, he ought to take the airplane someplace else. I have not have been given any tolerance for racism of any sort. Jason and Sharpton have made issues lots worse, like a guy with a wound in his factor, (race kin) they are status there with their hands in the hollow digging around and around stirring up greater crap than we want.

Without a doubt..they are as bad if not worse than the KKK.
I say that because the media does not give the KKK airtime to incite the reactions that these HYPOCRITES do. Has EITHER apologized to the Duke players that they were calling all sorts of foul names and saying that they deserved top be imprisoned for life ....assuming their guilt ....
They have not and will not say they are sorry....when asked just a few minutes ago Sharpton twisted the question to avoid it.

I bet it was hard to ask the first part of that question with a straight face. Are they helping, not likely,in fact that would run counter to their best interests. Their livelihood depends on stirring up racial tension whenever and wherever possible.

Nobody seems to have the guts to do it. It will take the black community or some real black leaders like Colin Powell or Bill Cosby to do it. Jesse and Al are all about keeping things stirred up. It keeps them employed.

I believe they do more harm than good. Why do they think it's ok for people of their own race to degrade each other, but almost instantly jump down the throat(s) of anyone else that says anything remotely similar to what is heard on the 'songs' coming from black 'artists'?
