Well when i was 10-13 i wanted a myspace,now i have 1,but how can they prevent children from going on there.

theres an option: 'Site only for private users',as in only people in your friend catagory ca go on youre myspace.

it works on my new version,although im not so sure about the older...

and you can set it there to:::
a.private users
b.public users
c.opposite sex

How can they? It's not like they can ask for a driving licence. Well I guess they, but I dont think many would bother and they could still be cheating. So you cannot really know the age of the person on Myspace.

You are right. Nobody can stop children going there, especially if they are computer savvy or their parents are completely oblivious to their activities.
The question is how to prevent them from going there. Write to your representative in government. Talk to the police of your town or city. Ask them if they have any internet monitoring programs. Chances are, there are international programs they belong to. You also do not know if the "children" you think are there are actually real children or poseurs.

I see no reason to prevent them from going on there, but there is a simple solution: Parents can begin to actually PARENT and say no.
