While I agree with everyone that you should be working, there are times when it should be acceptable, like during your lunch break or on days when there is absolutely nothing to do at work. But don't even try to argue with them about it, you won't get anywhere.
One thing to try that I did when my previous employer blocked some websites like yahoo mail, is to open the website from Outlook. If you add the games website to your Favorites in Explorer, and open it from the Favorites in Outlook, it might work if they outright blocked the games website. If they blocked the java applets, then I don't know how to get aroud that.

There's a few tricks I know, Jellybean is on the right track too. I don't think all those answerers are totally ignorant to playing around on their computers while working......

Of course your blocked. Put the shoe on the other foot,would you want to pay out your hard earned money to have your employee sit around on their hind end and play games all day long? You are at the work place to work not have free internet access on a piece of equipment that belongs not to you and is payed for by someone else. You should feel ashamed to be so disrepectful of others.

They probably blocked you so you would actually be working which I am assuming you are getting paid to do instead of them paying you to play games.
