It shows an incredible lack of good judgement on the part of the German instructor.

German probably comes in near the bottom as foreign taught languages in the United States. Spanish is what is taught. I don't know any black person in my area that can speak German, not that there isn't anyone black those who is educated that can. I speak German, not so well, and recall one black lady, American, living in Switzerland who speaks German and I believe she was in Mensa.

Al Sharpton is known for jumping into these types of scandals, possibly just to keep his name in the headlines. He never offers reconciliation what needs to be done to bring about better race relations, though.

There has been a number of racial attacks in New York City aimed at black people by the police force. The last one I heard about was the black man shot and killed on his wedding day because the police wrongly thought he had a gun. It's point and shoot, ask questions later.

America's Bronx?

The Bronx is in NYC... Clearly we have a foreigner here trying to be a smart-***! The German soldier told the other soldier to pretend he was in the Bronx fighting indigenous black Americans.

More importantly -Why would the Germans be using NYC as a location for war?

A video aired on German TV has shown an army recruit on firing practice being ordered to pretend he was in New York's Bronx facing hostile African Americans.
In the grainy 90-second video, the instructor tells the soldier to swear as he fires his gun.

US civil rights leader, Al Sharpton, said it was outrageous to depict blacks as "target practice".

New York officials say they are saddened and frustrated that the Bronx district is depicted so negatively.

"Clearly these folks don't know anything about African-Americans or the Bronx," said Bronx borough president Adolfo Carrion Jnr, who recently returned from a trip to Germany to promote tourism to the district.

He has demanded an apology from the Germany military over the clip.

Apparently some German commander told a soldier to pretend he was shooting blacks in the Bronx during training.

Anyway.... How about that fun loving Rap music that talks of killing cops? Why is that OK?

Those inner city poverty pimps need to clean their own houses before the criticize anyone Else's!

Read some history. I don't know if the German Army in general qualifies, but the SS certainly merits contempt.

The Germans are pacifist, but at least some in their military still know how to motivate.

They are pissed off because an instructor in the German Army was caught on video telling his recruits to imagine they were firing at hostile blacks in the Bronx, while they were firing machine guns.
That might just bother a few people

I believe they are angry because they were described as firing machine guns. Wheras they all think of themselves as looking more like Gangstas when they hold their solid gold handguns on their sides and tilt their heads sideways. They feel they were being made a fool of in the rightous german army's soldier's minds.
