make sure to always exfoliate before applying the lotion...exfoliating regularly will help the color stay nice as well...apply the lotion evenly & remember to use it sparingly around bony areas like ankles, knees, wrists & elbows...wash your hands thoroughly after applying the lotion to avoid having brown palms!!!

Anything that chemically changes the pigment of you skin can not be good for you. I too like to have a nice glow , but get it from what mother nature provides; the sun. I don't purposely lay in the sun anymore, due to the fact that I am 50 and don't want to prematurely wrinkle. I don't know where you live or how much sun you get, but I would take time to lay in the sun as opposed to chemicals and tanning booths. I live in Florida, never lay out anymore, but just doing gardening or going on the boat fishing for the day gives me a tan.

You always have to wear gloves, the plastic ones you use to dye your hair.Aerosol sprays are much better for tanning anyway, most of them won't leave your skin too dark and they will give you an even tan.

ware gloves or wipe your hands afterwords gloves are better i just had the same thing hapen to me but at this time of year and coz of the haet you wont realy need it if your hands go orange do the oposite of what you do with a tan and wash them alot and they will fade back into your natural colour or a great looking tan.
