If I am guilty of something that I am doing and not paying attention to my driving, the lights, or something else that I "should" be doing - no- I don't get mad. I smile and I mouth "I'm sorry" to the person behind me and give them the courtesy they deserve. Many times we, as drivers are often in the wrong and when someone beeps at us, they are only trying to get out attention. We should not be doing anything other than paying attention to the driving, the road, the signs, the lights, etc. I have been guilty of trying to text message someone and the light has turned green and someone had to beep me. I was wrong. And I don't do that anymore because it can cause accidents. I see women putting on makeup, doing hair, drinking coffee, talking on the phone, everything.....and if you're in the wrong, then you should not get mad.

Especially when I'm sandwiched in between cars. It's like, where the heck do you want me to go, jerk?
I would love to have one of those light banner scrolling signs to put in my rear window so I can flash a message to them. I'd program it with several selections and just push a button for whatever is appropriate for the moment.

If they expected me to run the gauntlet through an unsafe gap and honked me, I would start looking in my rearview mirror and playing with my hair, all innocent looking of course!

Sometimes I slam on the brakes to "miss a squirrel". If they rear end me then they are "following too closely".
