The best thing to do is to contact the school system you're interested in working in. Talk to them and find out *their* exact qualification requirements. Sometimes school systems will hire teachers under a "provisional" license, meaning they can still teach as long as they promise to get their certification within a certain amount of time. Once you've talked to the school system, you will then know the best route to take.

Another place to go for information is your state's Department of Education. They can help you look at classes you've already taken and see what more you may need. Sometimes if you have experience in a field, you don't need to take as many classes. This will keep you from wasting your time and money.

Finally, after you've talked to these two places, you can meet with an academic advisor at the university you'd want to attend. They can help put the advice the other two places gave into action. :-)

I hope this helps! Good luck!

These are for children from 4 -14 years of age. you can learn this course and you can make the citizens of tomorrow. Actually this is a part time job 2hrs weekly , you can earn as much as you can than by being a regular teacher by profession. In hyderabad many of the parents are joining thier kids for these classes. This course makes childern to be a little genius. The era of abacus originted here at hyd, and spreads all over the state with in less time .This is a great success all over the world. No need to write any B.Ed exams , no interviews , nothing . Just get a certification from the Abacus and proceed. I hope you will like the suggestion.

Be specific. What graduation. If you are science students, read more science books, As per your degree, go for B.Ed which is a must for a teaching field. Then specialise in one subject and do Masters degree in that subject. Depending on your interest and development of skills, you channelise your studies, book reading and skills of teaching...and initially be a B.Ed and Master degree holder. Then go in teachilng field either in private or public depending on your knowledge and your capacity to earn, learn and teach the society.

Many states have Alternative Certification in Teaching programs. Otherwise, earn a B.S. in Education, then apply for a teaching position.

Good Luck....

What kind of degre did you graduate with? Bachelor's? Master's?

You'll need a teaching degree. If you have a bachelor's degree, then you'll probably need to go back and get a master's degree in education.

If you already have a master's, but it's not in education, then you'll need to get a econd master's in education.

After you have an education degree, you'll have to take teachr certification tests. Then you should be good to go!

Good luck,
