I have a decent size pond. I have tried everything to keep the water clear, but still goes a murky green. All the inner walls have a green "fur" on it. It has been cleaned, painted with the correct paint, has a good pump, uv light, the pond plants have been potted in the correct pond soil. Am at a total loss as what else I can do!!

You don't have any shade on the surface. You need hyacinths, duck weed, lily pads, etc. All ponds should have at least 70% of the surface covered. This keeps the temps down, and slows the growth of algae. The green fur is great. It feeds the fish, and provides lots of oxygen. If you still can't get it right, check with a pond supply place. They will help. I think what is happening is that the pond is going through a cycle. If this is true, it will clear by itself, provided the conditions are correct. I know mine do. One day you can't see the fish through the algae, the next it's crystal clear.

Buy some algi eaters to stick in the pond! Just take em out when it gets cold, they don't do well in the cold. The sunlight is what turns the water green. Try getting a little shade on your pond, also.

I'm pretty sure there are special plants which keep water cleaner than others. If you do a search on the Internet perhaps you can find some of them. I think they are tropical plants and may live only in the summer and die in cold weather but they may help. Sorry I don't know any of their names but they exist.

I would try a fountain type air-eater which will allow for good oxygenation, also you may want to try snails they will feed on the algae.
