what thing can eddie do that other musicians cant and his technique. i saw his performance on you tube but i wanted to know his technique, his style.

Eddie invented playing on the neck of his guitar. Not that other guitarists can't do that, but Eddie thought of it before anyone else. When you hear him playing real fast, that's what he is doing.

If memory serves me, EVH is responsible for Tapping, that is, to tap on the fingerboard/fretboard with one's pick hand while fretting(or not) with one's fret hand.
