Not at all. Only Roman Catholics and High Church C.of E. ministers refuse to marry divorcees (but not widowers) which is why Prince Charles and Camilla had to have a Registry Office ceremony before a blessing. Church of Scotland and Methodists are much more flexible and even R.C. accept to marry divorcees who have not been married in a R.C. church. I have a niece who married in a non conformist (Monseigneur Lefebvre) R.C. church first time round and whose marriage was considered null and void in the eyes of the main church. She had the works second time round in her local cathedral! A great deal depends on individual ministers or priests.
Good Luck!

hey im in the same situation, hopefully im getting married for the second time in 2009. my first wedding was a civil one and have set my heart on a church wedding. i have researched this and according to the c of e church website they will marry people who have been divorced before however there are a few things you have to do first as some priests wont marry you. if you find one that will then you have to have a sort of interview they will ask you why your marriage broke down e.t.c. and if they think your serious about this wedding then its all steam ahead as they say. i do hope this helps as it is a very complicated but very common situation these days and good luck with everything and for the big dayxx

I presume you mean does it have to be in a registry office? No it does not although you will have to find a church that will marry you as some wont.
You could opt for a civil ceremony in a hotel or maybe abroad? You have loads of options including a church wedding. If i were you i would start the ball rolling my looking into where you want to marry and then start making enquiries.

Nope. My aunt's husband was married before she met him and they still got married in a church. It may be a bit difficult if you wanted a catholic service but your marriage can be wherever you want it.
