Just tried to Google him but I probably spelled his name wrong. My brother-in-law was valedictorian of his class, though, he's taken over his dad's company, doing ok.

Not sure where she is now but she graduated from West Point and always wanted to be a surgeon - I'm guessing she's in medical school now or doing a residency somewhere. So in this case, she'll probably be getting a high-paying job. But by no means is it guaranteed if you're the valedictorian. The valedictorian from the class ahead of me dropped out of college after a semester at our state university.

I went to a very small high school, which is why I remember who the val was... I graduated with only 40 students.

The point is, once you're out of high school, no one cares. You could be the valedictorian and work at burger king or you could be Johnny the pot head and become CEO of some huge company.

Currently, the valedictorian of my class is studying at Ohio State.

I don't think so. I feel like I'm gonna do terrible in college even though high school went great for me (grades-wise). =\
