Never had that realization; and I'm pretty cynical.

Infatuation (i.e. those first six months in a relationship that makes you have limitless energy, a grin on all the time etc.) now that is just a drug playing in your head. Read the psychological literature.

But my definition of 'love' is predicated on a decision I make to honour, care for and be a friend to someone (and in the case of a significant other, swing from the chandaliers with). Ain't no illusion. And it's something that grows over the years; it doesn't wane in 6 months.

Peace

That somewhat happened to me. Ever since 2nd grade I liked this girl. The was the most beautiful thing I ever saw. I always was real nice to her, bought her stuff, and asked her out so many times. I know there was no problem with her liking me because she was always flirting with me. Anyway, every time I ask she is busy or her dad has her that week and he is a real hard @ss. I don't blame him, she is something real special. We go to high school and we pretty much get completely seperated, not one class together. That is what I think did us in. I find out that she asked some random guy to Sadies. I'm crushed. Then she goes out with this random guy for about a week. Again, I am devastated. Then Winter Formal comes and the class before lunch she gets asked by the most annoying sophmore ever. He has a girls name and is always in a b*tchy mode on the soccer field. The worst thing is that that morning my friend and I were going to ask out girls at the same time but my jack off friend delays us and the bell rings. I figure, hey, I'll ask her at lunch. I find out she's taken and to this day I've gone 0 for 4 school dances. Now she's with one of my good friends. She's changed alot. She dyed her hair this strance brown color from her natural incredible blonde. She hangs out with the rich bratty kids, and we barley even know each other anymore. I still try to say hello once and a while but every time her boyfirend comes along and plants one on her lips. Now I've realized that the things you believe in most are the things that will most likely not work out. However, I've found someone new and she's helping me get over all of that pain.

Love isn't an illusion or made to fool the eyes, mind and heart. When it doesn't work out maybe it is because, we as humans, made bad choices?

Psychologically love is an emotion that we allow ourselves to feel.

Love, to me is this:
Love is promoting each -others well-being;
be it;
emotionally
mentally
spiritually
physically
economically
in all ways...
If you are not being promoted today then whey are you still there?
