Put an antibiotic ointment on the puncture wound right away, after you wash it out with soap and water. Crabs can carry dangerous bacteria. Watch the wound for any signs of unusual redness or swelling, this would indicate it's getting infected.

Haha. Hermit crabs.
Just wipe it off and put some antiseptic on it along with a bandaid. A couple years ago I seen a hermit crab at petsmart with a cute design on its shell and bought it but was too afraid to touch it cause I thought it would pinch, not bite(they dont bite), me.
It bit my brother and he ended up giving it to his teacher.HA.

You should put the hermit crab away, go and wash the wound and put some Dettol or Betadine on it. A bandaid probably wouldn't go astray either. In future, let's avoid the pinchy parts, k?

You mean to the hermit crab afterwards? He's likely to get squashed.
