If the AP has TWO radios then you can. But MOST APs these days are single radio units.. thus ONE SSID.. the ssid identifies the AP radio.

No, you need to add a secondary Wireless Access Point to the router if you want another SSID

it's possible. anything is possible. maybe try building your own AP from scratch with a linux box. might need 2 network cards and separate antennas.
