a childhood friend is going through domestic violence shes scarred to admit this but she has ways of covering bruises and his verbal abuse in the background of the phonecalls,she doesn,t want to leave she wants her kids to be raised by the birth parents him n her it's like something out of a movie this guy is well off so is she at working at home what advice can i give 3kids
they don't see it I'm sure of that he loves them too much but what to do i don't wanna but in ya know she is not gonna leave i know that he says no counseling to him its a way for people to mess with his head!!!
I don't want to get involved but I want to give her advice ????????????

She needs to take her kids and go, money or not. Once a beater, always a beater. You think if only you do this or that differently he'll change, he won't. Get the hell out.

That's so bad! I really think you should just be there to talk to her. Tell her that if she ever gets too scared then she always has you to stay with for the night or something. If it's all about the kids, then how does she know that he won't turn on them one day? What if he gets really drunk or something?

It's obvious that the police should get involved but if you don't want to but in, then your best option is probably just to talk to her about it and let her know you're there.

My wife has a friend like this. She recently came to her senses and left him (after and assault and more).

Unfortunately, I have found that people in this situation are very resistant to advice. They always find ways to justify why they are abused or why they can't leave.

All you can do is keep telling her about how much you worry about her and why.

give her the # to a shelter the rest is up to her if she doesnt want to leave nothing you say will change that and let her know your there for her

Unless she is prepared to leave him and report him to the police there is not a lot that you can do just be there for her..

Aren't you intruding? If she needed help I am sure she would have approached you as her childhood friend.
