use ccleaner, it allows you to exactly remove what you want, and lets you what you want to keep

Find internet option and select delete history or i think down the bottom of the search bar is a clear history function. I hope this helps!

Do you mean your drop down address/url menu on your browser?
Go to tools, browser options, and there are two options to clear the urls or your search strings. The url option clears your address bar.
