India is a third world country. That is to say that it is a non developed or underdeveloped country. They do not have the water treatment facilities that exist in the U.S. A body of water such as a stream or pond will be used for drinking, bathing, swimming, laundry, etc. It is not uncommon for ponds or steams in America to contain feces, but these are not commonly used for people to drink. To answer your question simply, yes it is most certain.

properly, the FDA makes standards for all styles of issues, like, you could purely have the form of fantastic form of rat hairs per pound, stuff like that. i'm tremendously particular it is going for fecal count too... it truly is tremendously gross once you think of approximately it, in spite of the undeniable fact that it seems, no nutrients production is sterile and that's truly, truly difficult to make, deliver, and save completely clean nutrients. the standards are meant to be based on what won't deliver approximately unfavourable wellness outcomes.

I don't think it would be called "drinking" water if it did.
That said, it is not a good idea to drink the tap water in any foreign country you're visiting. Your body is just not used to it and you'll invariably get spanish tummy.
