Help my friend. Setting up PS3 to router with USB?

My friend wants to connect his PS3 to his wireless router. His PC is connected to his modem via USB. His PS3 connected via ethernet. Does the PC need to be connected via ethernet too?

you can not use the usb connection and the ethernet connection of your modem at the same time. You nwill have to connect the computer via ethernet also....
