Which Intel Pentium Processor is batter for gaming performance between this 2 Processors (not other),

Intel Pentium IV 3GHz Processor & Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz Processor (not other Pentium IV ..GHz & not other Dual core .. GHz processor)?

I would take the 3 GHz for this reason, Alot of games have that listed as a RECOMMENDED spec, the video card and memory are also more important than the CPU for gaming in my opinion.

Hafnium chips would cost more than 5 times. Go for Pentium D 2.8Ghz, much better than simple P4( I have the same processor). As for gaming, it doesn't matter much now because most of the games use just one core of Pentium D, but it will be helpfull later for multicore games like Crysis.

Pentium lV would have a slight edge on single threaded games. Pentium D820 would excel in newer games that are multi-threaded. But take note that gaming performance is a lot more dependent on the graphics card.

dual core it has better FSB and cach. But i would go with AMD much more higher FSB
