That's what your parents are for! :) They are never going to turn you away if you have a problem and go to them about it. Sometimes its hard to trust your friends and they come and go, but your parents will always love you.

Most people think that when their kids are little is when they need their parents most. What kids and parents don't realize though, is as their kids get into their teenage years is when they really need their parents. You have a lot of things going on in your head right now and some of it is confusing. I know some things are embarrassing to talk to your folks about, but I'm 23 and have a husband and soon a baby of my own and there are still times where I need to ask my mom something or just want to call her because she's already been through pretty much everything.

Your parents will never steer you in the wrong direction because they care about you whereas your friends don't always have the best information.

If you feel that you can talk to your parents,
-then by all means-please DO!!!!!

I would have given anything to be able to talk to my parents about personal issues when I was a child,,,,
they made such a f*cking issue out of everything all the time,
I was afraid to fart in the same room for fear it wouldn't smell right!!!!!

I now have the relationship with my parents that I wish I had then,,,,,but I think it is healthy to be able to talk to your parents.
I have 4 kids sweetie, and they all know that they can come
and talk to me anytime, about anything,,,,and they do-

I WILL be there for my kids the way my parents weren't.

But there are other times, you just need a friend,,,,

But if you don't get along with your parents,,,,
I would recommend talking to school counselors,,,,
or a close friend,,,,,someone you know you can trust.

Use your own discretion,,you will be fine....
Hope this helped,,,,

It depends. If you just want to complain, tell your friends. they will sympathise with you more than your parnets will. by their age they've forgotten some of what it's like to be your age. If you are looking for advice, tell your friends so that you will be more comfortable in telling your parents. Practice telling them. everyone knows that no matter what we say about how great it is to talk to your parents, you may not feel like you can. try your mom instead of your dad. or if you have an older sibbling who is 3 or more years older, they may be able to help you and even help figure out what you should ask of your parents. Don't let their advice completely replace that of your parents, it should just suplement it. does that make sense? let me know if you need more specific advice.
good luck.

You must take your parents only in confidence regarding your personal problems. Especially your mother who can better understand your problem if you are a girl. Do not disclose your personal problems to your friends even if they are very close to you. This is my reply and advise to you.

Being a girl aged 14, you better ask your Mom. Being your Mother she know better about you, than yourself. Take her advice. Mother always take care of her children. Friends may give you wrong advice. Good luck.

Yes. Your parents won't go telling people you don't want to know. They can turn out to be your best friend and will always be there for you.

Yes because they have been through it all before and they can help you out. Don't tell you friends all of your personal business because once you get in high school they might changed on you and tell everyone you business.
