Prevent heat from flowing into it by surrounding it with insulating material. That's called an ice box. .... or you can extract heat from it faster than heat goes into it - that's a refrigerator.

Or you can try homeopathy or pyramid power - it will melt.

on thermodynamics, the energy of a matter with higher thermal energy than another matter will always flow to another matter with lower thermal energy until equilibrium is achieved. So when a hot matter is touch by a cold matter, the thermal energy of the hot matter will flow the the cold matter until both have the same temperatures. To stop ice from melting we must make sure that its surrounding area have lower thermal energy thatn itself or have equal thermal energy. That area may be a refrigerator. You could also insulate it to stop heat from flowing in it.

heat causes ice to melt. so, keep the ice in a cool place where the temperature 0 degrees centigrade or less (freezing point of water is zero degrees centigrade)
