My mirror broke, so I went out and got a new one from Ford. They told me it was easy to take off, but I cant get the damn thing off. How do you take it off?

Simple. There is an allen screw that needs to be loosened. Once the screw is loose, you can pull up on the arm that is attached to the windshield and it should come off. Easy to do.

I don't remember a screw on those.. if i remember it's held in by a spring clip that needs a screw driver to depress to remove.... but I have a tool from a glass shop to remove as I've cracked a few windshields trying to depress the spring clip...

If it has no screw or screw hole on the new mirror, it's probably a spring clip or a wedge fit (basically slowly work it back and forth till it comes up)

On the bottom part of the mount should be a screw. Loosen the screw and the arm should pop off, leaving the glued mount on the windshield. Reverse the process to install the new one.

What ever you do, do no longer use nail polish remover or acetone!..... both will sparkling off the white, yet as well a number of your autos paint too. Use a delicate solvent like mineral spirits.
