Now by this i mean all forms of evil: anything that would be considered harmful to humans - no more school bullies, lying, stealing, arguements, etc.
Would we be happy with a perfect world of order and peace?

In quantum physics, there is the story of Schroedinger's cat
On June 7 of 1935, Erwin Schroedinger wrote to Albert Einstein to congratulate him on what is now known as the EPR paper, a famous problem in the interpretation of Quantum Mechanics. Soon thereafter, he published what was to become one of the most celebrated paradoxes in quantum theory:A cat is placed in a box, together with a radioactive atom. If the atom decays, and the geiger-counter detects an alpha particle, the hammer hits a flask of prussic acid (HCN), the cat. The paradox lies in the clever coupling of quantum and classical domains. Before the observer opens the box, the cat's fate is tied to the wave function of the atom, which is itself in a superposition of decayed and undecayed states. Thus, said Schroedinger, the cat must itself be in a superposition of and alive states (limbo) before the observer opens the box, ``observes'' the cat, and ``collapses'' it's wave function. Now your wondering what the hell does this have to do with your question??!!! Well, first of all we don't know if the atom has decayed and thru subsequent cause and effect killed the cat until we obseve it to be deceased or alive. But if we open the box we are probably going to set of a chain reaction that will kill the cat and maybe us also. Same applies for good and evil...we would not know something to be good or evil without observing point and counterpoint. Does that mean that we should open the box and evil should be the predominant force in the world? Of course not, avoid it and try to eradicate it...knowing full well there will always be atleast a microscopic particle of evil left in the world so that we know what good is. Now as stated earlier this is the coupling of quantum and classical domains...ain't that a hot thought? Hot and true because way back when Plato wrote the Allegory of the Cave, he said pretty much the same thing that Schroedinger proved in 1935. Which gave way to Einstein's Theory of Relativity and the scientific proof that God does exist. Well, Einstein said that God existed in every molecule that not only created humans, but the sofa, doorknob, universe and galaxy (much like Buddha said almost 3000 years ago.) Now, a perfect world, Sir Thomas Moore called it Eutopia - but that was kinda a scary story of a Stepford Life. In modern day it would be resplendent with tails, plenty of busy work that accomplishes nothing and pleasant banalaties for people who are closet es and wanna-be axe ers (but of course they can't because its a perfect world!) Or maybe your bored and want to scream out loud or bang your fists against the wall (but of course you can't cause its a perfect world!) This may cause some unhappiness. I guess that is why Buddha suggested that instead of trying to make the world perfect that we should try and be better and strive to reach inner perfection through peace and order. Lets work on ourselves and check our needs, our greed, desires and motivations before we try and fix the world 'cuz we may open that box and blow the whole damn place up. Well it's been fun playing. Thru all this I think I just dreamed up the perfect man ...There's gotta be a guy out there thats one part Einstein, one part Buddha, long locks Rasta that believes peace, love and herb is the way to true enlightenment. Much love to those that love Him for he is not a he/she or an it (or a child molester or alot of the other crap that has been said about H.)By the way this site sucks - it censors words without considering what context they are used sorry if it's a bit confusing.

I don't think it is possible to achieve, and I think we would not be happy if we could. If there were no evil, how would we define good? Why do you define evil as only harmful to humans? What about animals?

I like the way it is put in the original "MATRIX" movie. The machines had created the artificial world for humans free from pain and strife, etc.; but the human mind would not accept the simulation. They had to recreate it failure, disease, and misery before we would accept it as reality.

John Lennon, formerly of the Beatles, once asked in the 1970's "What if they gave a war, and nobody came?" The answer is, of course, that there would always be someone that came, because experimenting with homicide is too inviting, especially with state sanction. See the Monty Python movie "The Meaning Of Life". There is a scene about war, and in the background as the camera pans by, you hear a soldier saying "I killed 37 of the buggers. Back home they'd HANG ME! Here, they'll give me a F***ing Medal!"

If you want to turn the discussion to a religious bent, then evil exists on earth due to Satan. When the Christ returns and finally defeats him, the righteous will be resurrected and we will live in a perfect world of peace, with no evil, for all eternity.

Proof is for arithmetic. There are many ideals and assertions that exist with out proof. The writings of an character, in any other case unknown, dwelling on a Greek island 1950 or so years in the past are precisely that. Assertions made with out proof. They are stated to foretell the long run. It is fairly transparent from countless numbers of years of revel in that no person can do that besides in probably the most trivial, on the spot or common method. They additionally describe bodily impossibilities or matters which can be tremendously implausible. While it's viable that they'll stand as allegories or symbols for anything else, what that anything else honestly is, is past our interpretation seeing that we don't come from anything tradition the creator emerged. If you've gotten ever learn Charles Dickens, who does no longer describe bodily impossibilities, you continue to have to appreciate a few matters approximately England a hundred and eighty years in the past earlier than you'll appreciate the whole thing he method. That is simplest a hundred and eighty years. Yet he spoke so much the identical language as we do and knew a few of the identical matters. In an extra 1500 years persons will uncover so much of what he wrote a thriller.

Then there won't be any creation worth the name. Only by contrast the creation goes on. The bitter outer skin of orange is very much a necessity to safeguard the sweet pulp inside. Your portrayal of such world will be like this. 'Only white colour throughout the world'. Will you enjoy such a world. You will try to flee away from the world or you will get depression. Hope you got the point. Without darkness, you can not enjoy light. Without heat you can never enjoy coolness.

THERE WOULD BE NO GOOD ALSO!!!
IF THERE WAS NO EVIL!!!

ONE CANNOT BE THERE WITH OUT THE OTHER! otherwise what is there to differentiate it from.

our requirement is to come to terms with the reality.
This universe is within the time frame, this means that for any thing to be manifested its opposite should also simultaneously exist, and then they slowly change from one to the other with in the time frame.

I think so. I believe there ae 2 types of evil. 1.The people who were born good but had crummy lives and their mind warped. and 2.Those just plain born evil. Number 2 freaks me out.

If there were no evil, there would be no spiritual growth. This whole universe is composed of positive and negative, duality. In creates out. up creates down. positive creates negative. Smart creates dumb. etc. without this duality it appears to me that we would Go "POOF".

without evil can there be good? If there was no evil and we were all "happy" could there be happiness without unhappiness? If nobody could ever be sad and nothing bad ever happened....could anything ever be good?
