Something for the good of mankind, health, wildlife, animals or something that feels like a worthy cause.
An animal sanctuary
Natural therapies (I'm a huge Reiki fan)
Training for life skills and independance
Child care
Activities for the disabled and / or disadvantaged
If you want to start a business, you must first be sure that you can offer a product or service that the community needs and wants.

You don't say what area you have an interest in, or whether you have any experience or education in any particular field, or how much money you are prepared to put into starting it up, so it's a bit hard to take a guess.
I remember when I was almost ready to leave school, an uncle of mine told me that if I wanted to make any money in the business world, I should look for something to do with food - not restaurants, hotels, etc., just basic food. His reasoning was that when money gets tight, people go without the luxuries, such as holidays, outings, meals out, and so on. What they can't go without is basic food, such as meat, vegetables, fish, bread, etc. So, following his line of thought, and trying to think of something that didn't need a wealth of experience (or heaps of money) to set up and keep running successfully, what about a franchise such as Baker's Delight, Brumby's, etc, cos we all like freshly baked bread, rolls, cakes, etc, rather than supermarket-sold stuff. That's my suggestion, anyway.

its not something i wish to do but it is becoming a necessity, but the main problem we have here at the moment in parts of Queensland is water restrictions. There is a lot of different businesses popping up and there is a lot of money to be made. Anything to do with water supply, water tanks, etc. A business has just started where a man waters other peoples gardens with his truck which is full of water. i know it doesn't sound like much but water is becoming such a precious commodity and it's a new avenue to look into and there are still a lot of ideas to be thought up. good luck with it Eric :)

I would certainly take up the chance. The first thing i would do is to be sure of the type of business i would want to do in Australia and to feel teh fround.most vertainly australia is very big almost the size of the United States.i would want to establish a business where there is a market.you are not going to establish one on a desert town. Then i would ahve to establish contacts and make friends and ask for advice and then i would lok for the cost teh cheapest area to set up business. depnding on type of business i would see how is biusiness and if it is profitable and the rseponse and the market is good i would set up the same branches in other sister cities of australia
just my personal opinion

Hmm...some business that Australians will like. You are obviously going to sell some product or service that they can buy. And it also depends what kind of product or service. And also to make sure that you put your business in the right area. Peace!
