I used to do the listening thing a lot and then I figured out I had something to offer. I would take in all the information I would get and reproduce it for others. Listening to people talk about relationship problems can help you offer advice about relationships to others. Make sense?
Me personally I'm constantly relating things, if someone says Unity I'll bring up that Chappelle's episode....
Offering your opinion on topics with passion is always good. Let your true colors show.

You have to show them what you got. If you are a good listener as u claim to be, get them in a good conversation then do your listening thing. If you are smart and funny, talk about interesting and funny topics. If you are fully loaded, treat them out or throw a fancy party and let them feel who has it. Good luck!

The truth is you don't have to go out of your way to seek attention. I've noticed that people that are themselves, secure, fun, and caring are the ones that others enjoy being around.

You could start by changing your look, like getting a new haircut or updating your style. After that, show people your beautiful personality! Maybe start engaging in more conversations and try being more of a talker.
