Chicken, salad, nice bread rolls. Chips and french onion dip.
Please get the salt and pepper, we always seem to forget them.
Where do we meet.

I'll bring the blanket.
I suspect everyone will have a different answer. We always took egg sandwiches to the beach--they are the old food that tastes better outdoors and with sand in it.
For a picnic at a campground or in the woods, I'd go with
tuna fish, sliced salad tomatoes, l.green leaf lettuce and yellow pepper sauteed for two minutes the night before on mayo and bread of choice.

Fried chicken and potato salad and fruit. Watermelon was always the best and we had seed spitting contests. I miss picnics.

Potato chips. I never eat them any other time! No Picnic is complete without them.

Any kind of sandwich at all. And macaroni salad, too. Oh, and macaroni and cheese, with REAL melted cheese that's stirred in so that when you're eating it, there's the strings of cheese that go from the fork to the plate. Yes, macaroni and cheese. Please.
