I disagree with the previous answer because the ice found in the polar caps of the earth is dry ice (solid form of carbon dioxide) so even if it melts it becomes carbonic acid and not water (H2O).
When the sun becomes a red giant it will eat up the first three planets including the earth so mars will very closer and do you think humans can ever live near the sun with so much of heat
I am not saying it is totally impossible but the chances are 1/100 because of many problems which will occur even if humans live there.
Living in mars will surely be impossible in the near future until any huge discovery or invention is made by someone

Man has abused the planet, it's resources and other humans all in the name of religion. Indeed, perhaps if there was no religion human and Earth would live more like family than warriors. There is no use looking off world. Man can not survive in space. All the evidence to date shows no life anywhere except Earth and no planets that could support humans. Over population is the cause for the problems humanity has inflicted upon the Earth and itself. Religion is a major factor in over population. Without religion there would not be millions more people starving everyday. Put the blame where it really lies.

Not in the solar system, now without underground facilities, pressurized domes, oxygen equipment, etc.
As to planets outside our solar system, the bacteria, plant life and water will answer that question; if the chemical makeup of Earth-type planets is similar enough, the answer someday will be "yes". If not, there are always cities in space and long-range or even multi-generational ships. Also terraforming of worlds or building artificial
planets for habitation.

There is some possibility. But the chances are quite slim. But according to some scientists we may make Mars our colony after the Sun has become a red giant. The polar caps on mars poles will melt and become oceans and lakes and Mars may become like earth and earth will become inhabitable for Humans.

if you are saying we can live on other planets with life support, we could live on the moon even, but if you mean live without life support, like we do on earth, then that planet would probably already be habitable for life and be overcrowded with some other alien life forms, don't you ever watch Star Wars (tongue out) : P

Sure but you would have to bring a whole artoficial environment with you. No other known planet has all the features we need, air, liquid water and so on...

On a hot Saturday night in Brooklyn, lots of guys would go any place for a cold beer. Any place at all... Even to some stupid planet they knew nothing about, if it has cold beer.
